Murray to Moyne

Murray to Moyne

The Murray to Moyne is a team relay cycling event. Participants ride 520km from either Mildura, Swan Hill or Echuca to Port Fairy.

The aim of the ride is to raise funds for hospitals, health services and related charities. The event continues Graham Woodrup or Woody's dream of getting more people to realise the fabulous health and social benefits of riding a bike.

The Murray to Moyne has two goals:

  • To raise funds for hospitals and health services throughout Victoria.
In the spirit of the Murray to Moyne to raise much needed funds for health care, every team must nominate which hospital or health service they will raise funds for when they register.
  • To continue Woody’s dream of getting more people to realise the fabulous health and social benefits of riding a bike.
The Murray to Moyne is a team relay event, so you can get a group of workmates, family or friends together and register a team, or let us know and we’ll try and put you in touch with some other people who are keen to start up a new team in your area.

Edenhope's team first began participating in the event in 1991 and has continued its involvement to date. Over the years the team has raised much needed funds for the Edenhope & District Memorial Hospital.

The discipline to train and also the opportunity to encourage and motivate other people to take up this challenge. It has given all the riders over the years the opportunity to meet and make friends with people they may not otherwise meet.

The team have a
Facebook page and welcome everyone to like the page. It will provide information on organised rides, fundraising events and much more.

New team members are welcomed. If you think you might like to be a part of next years team, please contact Sara McDonnell
