Grampians Health Edenhope is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Post as the new Meaningful Life Coordinator for Lakeside Living. This is an exciting opportunity for Amanda to be a part of our care communities new ‘Meaningful Life Model of Care’ across Grampians Health.

She will be responsible for the implementation and coordination of meaningful engagement that gives daily purpose to our residents, supporting a holistic wellbeing.

Amanda brings a wealth of experience and a passion to the role, modelling dedication and enthusiasm making her the ideal candidate to support Meaningful Life at Lakeside Living.

"I am truly excited about the future of the Meaningful Life Program here at Lakeside Living. While I'll continue to develop and implement purposeful engagement, my role has expanded to include leadership and mentoring responsibilities. I see this as an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents," she said.

The Meaningful Life Model of Care is all about changing our mindset. It takes a community to care and support our residents to have a meaningful and purposeful life. Our families, friends, volunteers and the wider community are ‘our partners in care’. Every resident in our care community is entitled to live a meaningful life filled with purposeful engagement. Individual assessments such as "All About Me" and "Meaningful Life Engagement Assessment" help the team to know who the resident is now and their history, helping to support each resident's unique needs and preferences.

Some exciting changes are on the horizon, including the introduction of meaningful life Program 7 days a week and team to support into the evening. We will continue to offer engagement through a weekly activity program as well as focusing of individual resident engagement and further building connections with the wider community. Lakeside Living is committed to continuous improvement and looks forward to evolving of the Meaningful Life Model of Care.

Amanda's vision for the program includes creating daily purpose that brings joy and fulfillment to each individual resident. Advocating for residents and a commitment to ongoing education and development are key priorities for her and her team.

Continuing to build relationships, through communication with residents and their families will be supported through various channels, including a monthly newsletter, event invitations and social media, to ensure that everyone remains well-informed and engaged with the Meaningful Life Program.

Lakeside Living is excited to have Amanda at the helm of this transformative initiative. Her leadership and dedication will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall well-being and happiness of our residents
