Edenhope Lions Club donates defibrillator machine to Grampians Health's Health & Wellbeing Hub

Edenhope Lions Club has taken a significant step towards safeguarding the health and well-being of the local community

The Edenhope Lions Club has demonstrated its commitment to community health and safety by generously donating a state-of-the-art defibrillator machine to Grampians Health's Health & Wellbeing Hub. The valuable contribution was formally presented by President Kerry Hausler to Jo Grant, the Primary Health Coordinator and Tania Shephard the District Nursing team leader, in a special ceremony held earlier today.

A defibrillator is a life-saving device that can restore a normal heartbeat during sudden cardiac emergencies. Its presence in public spaces significantly enhances the chances of survival for individuals experiencing cardiac arrest. With the installation of this vital equipment at the Health & Wellbeing Hub, the Edenhope Lions Club has taken a significant step towards safeguarding the health and well-being of the local community.

President Kerry Hausler expressed the club's enthusiasm for this initiative, stating, "The Edenhope Lions Club is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and families in our community. We believe that access to essential health services and equipment is paramount, especially in critical situations such as cardiac emergencies. We are delighted to donate this defibrillator machine to Grampians Health's Health & Wellbeing Hub and contribute to the safety and well-being of our fellow community members."

The Health & Wellbeing Hub, managed by Grampians Health, serves as a central hub for promoting health and wellness within the region. The addition of the defibrillator machine will further enhance the hub's capacity to respond to emergencies and ensure that prompt medical assistance is available when needed the most.

Jo Grant, Primary Health Coordinator at Grampians Health, expressed her gratitude for the generous donation, stating, "We are immensely grateful to the Edenhope Lions Club for their exceptional support and donation of this critical equipment. This defibrillator will play a vital role in our emergency response efforts and significantly improve the chances of survival for individuals in need. It is heartening to witness the dedication of community organizations like the Edenhope Lions Club, who actively contribute to the well-being of our community."

The Edenhope Lions Club's donation of the defibrillator machine exemplifies the spirit of community collaboration and highlights the club's unwavering commitment to serving the needs of the Edenhope community. By making this life-saving equipment accessible to the Health & Wellbeing Hub, they are ensuring that immediate medical assistance is within reach for individuals who require it.
