EDMH secures new doctor

It is with great excitement that Edenhope and District Memorial Hospital announces today a formal agreement has been reached with Rural Doctors Pty Ltd to provide doctor services to our community.

Rural Doctors currently have clinics in Nhill and Kaniva and provide service to Goroke.

“As of the 10th of April, Rural Doctors will take over the Edenhope Hospital Medical Clinic and will provide Visiting Medical Officer service to the Hospital and our aged care residents.”  said EDMH CEO Andrew Saunders

“Dr Sabiha Rimi along with her husband and family will be moving to Edenhope and will reside in the doctor’s residence across the road from the hospital.”

“Dr Sabiha will be supported by the Rural Doctors team.”

“We will introduce Dr Sabiha to the community and provide more information about Rural Doctors and the service the clinic will offer in the near future.”

“This is a fantastic outcome and I would like to thank the community for their patience and support while we have been working to secure doctor services for our community”

“I would also like to thank the staff at our medical clinic, who have been a great support to me and the team during this uncertain time.”

“I would also like to personally thank Dr Lalani for the outstanding service she has provided to the Hospital, clinic and the community throughout the past 7 years.”

“A big thank you must also go to her husband Bandu who provided support to Dr Lalani and was a great contributor to the community.”

"Unfortunately, we are unable to hold a farewell due to the government’s restrictions on public gatherings."

"Therefore, we will be setting up a mailbox outside the medical clinic so community members can leave a personal note or card for Lalani and Bandu."
