Lakeside Living residents embrace autumn weather

Lakeside Living residents soaked up the autumn sun, in a social barbecue with members from the Day Program.

The combined lunch was introduced as a way for residents to connect with new people in a new environment.

It has been so well-attended that staff have locked in monthly excursions.

“Winter will be here too soon, so we wanted to get out in the sunshine while the weather still allows it,” Meaningful Life Coordinator Amanda Post said.

“We had about a dozen Day Program clients and a dozen Lakeside Living residents join, so it was quite the gathering.

“They were all mingling and chatting, catching up on what’s happening in the community, it was very enjoyable.”

The event came just in time, before a COVID outbreak was declared for Lakeside Living.
